Colorado Head Coach Deion Sanders Set to Undergo Two Additional Surgeries on Thursday
Former Florida State star and current Colorado head coach Deion Sanders is set to undergo two additional surgeries on Thursday. One to help repair bent toes that have been causing him pain from wearing shoes and the other to help with a blood clot in his leg.

The Hall of Famer took to Instagram on Wednesday to break the news.
"Following my Dr's recommendations and will be going in for another procedure," coach Prime said, "Unfortunately this means I will not be in attendance of Pac-12 media day BUT this will ensure I am back on my feet for the start of fall camp. Good day and God bless."
This won't be the first time Sanders has gone under the knife in recent weeks, as he was forced to have emergency surgery last month to clear out a blood clot in his groin and had to have two toes amputated due to complications stemming from previous foot surgery related to life-threatening blood clots in 2022. This struggle with his foot and groin has been ongoing for years, raising concerns about the potential for a complete foot amputation in the past.
Regarding his health, the first-year head coach has had a rocky start in Boulder, Colorado. Still, he went on to say that undergoing surgery now will enable him to recover in time for the Buffaloes' season opener against TCU on September 2, marking Sanders' first appearance in black and gold.
There are high expectations for the 2023 season in his first year. He recently made headlines by flipping the roster with a massive player exodus in the NCAA transfer portal, and the Buffaloes currently hold the No. 2 transfer class in the country, according to 247Sports.com.
Sanders hopes to turn around a program that went 1-11 just a season ago.
