Colorado head coach Deion Sanders set NCAA Transfer Portal history during the spring while taking over a 1-11 Buffaloes team in his first year at the helm. Overall, 45+ players entered the portal following Sanders' arrival, and he currently holds the No. 1 transfer class in the country.

Sanders seems to have a penchant for former Seminoles, and he's managed to secure three in the off-season. Defensive end Derrick McLendon II, linebacker Brendan Gant and cornerback-turned-safety Omarion Cooper have all signed on to play for the Buffaloes.

The newest former 'Nole to make the trip to Colorado is defensive tackle Bishop Thomas according to Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports, who announced his intentions to transfer on April 28. Thomas, a 3-star recruit out of Bishop Moore Catholic in Orlando, Florida, committed to FSU in June of 2021 and made a name for himself on the scout team while being named Scout Team Player of the Year. He redshirted after playing in just two games while recording one tackle in the 44-14 win over Boston College and also seeing action in the 49-17 win against Louisiana.

As a recruit, the 6-foot-two, 290-pound freshman was ranked as the No. 27 defensive tackle in America and the No. 48 overall prospect from Florida. He was rated nationally as the No. 66 defensive lineman and the No. 65 prospect in Florida.

Wide receiver Mycah Pittman, safety Travis Jay, offensive lineman Zane Herring and linebacker Steven Dix Jr. have also transferred or announced their intentions to move on from the program this spring.

The Seminoles currently hold the fifth-ranked transfer class, adding top prospects nationwide.
