The Syracuse Orange are the next team on the docket as FSU continues its push for a potential ACC Championship and College Football Playoff run. Ahead of the contest, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced that the game will kick off at 12:00 p.m. eastern on Saturday, October 14. It was previously released that the Seminoles will play on ABC for the fifth time (LSU, Boston College, Clemson, Virginia Tech) in six games.
The kickoff time was dependent on other games over the weekend, including North Carolina's matchup with Syracuse and Miami's game against Georgia Tech. Ultimately, the Tar Heels and Hurricanes were selected to play in the evening slot on ABC.
Syracuse was blown out on Saturday, falling to North Carolina 40-7, in its second straight defeat on the year. The Orange surrendered 644 yards of total offense while turning the ball over twice in the defeat. The team is 4-2 on the season but remains winless in ACC play (0-2).
It's expected that the game will sell out in the next couple of days. Florida State is planning to honor the 1993 National Championship team during the course of the contest.
