Florida State Quarterback Commit Shines In Los Angeles, Named To Elite 11 Following Finals

One of the top quarterbacks in the country is coming to Tallahassee in the 2024 class.

The Seminoles are bringing in one of the top quarterbacks in the country in their 2024 class - four-star prospect Luke Kromenhoek. Florida State knew that when he committed to the program over a year ago but he proved his talent on the national stage throughout the last few days at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles.

Paired among 22 of the most highly regarded rising senior signal-callers, Kromenhoek did his part to stand out amongst the competition. His skill set was recognized as he was named to the Elite 11 following the finals.

The group of prospects - which was provided in alphabetical order - coincidentally included 12 quarterbacks. Outside of Kromenhoek, Julian Sayin (Alabama), CJ Carr (Notre Dame), Jadyn Davis (Michigan), Ethan Grunkmeyer (Penn State), Will Hammond (Texas Tech), Hauss Hejny (TCU), Colin Hurley (LSU), Daniel Kaelin (Nebraska), DJ Lagway (Florida), Air Noland (Ohio State), and Dylan Raiola (Georgia) also made the Elite 11. Sayin was named as the overall MVP of the event.

Despite not winning MVP honors, this is a nice distinction for Kromenhoek, especially when you consider that he's only started for one season at the high school level. He impressed multiple recruiting services with On3 (4th) and 247Sports (4th) both ranking him among the top-5 prospects in attendance.

The Georgia native came out hot on day one and earned some rave reviews. He fell back down to Earth on Thursday with an inconsistent showing in the Pro Day event. Kromenhoek only scored 32/60 in the drill but shook off the performance with a strong finish. He completed 13/17 passes for 167 yards with three passing touchdowns and zero turnovers during the 7-on-7 portion of the finals, one of the best marks of any quarterback.

Ranked the No. 131 overall prospect and No. 10 quarterback in the 2024 class according to the 247Sports composite rankings, it would be a surprise if his stock doesn't rise after this showing.

Kromenhoek committed to Florida State last March and is one of the Bell Cows for #Tribe24. He will return to campus next weekend for his official visit after also participating at the Elite Camp in June. Kromenhoek led Benedictine High School to a 13-2 overall record and its second consecutive state title as a junior. He completed 171/263 passes (65%) for 2,576 yards with 24 touchdowns to three interceptions while rushing 139 times for 453 yards and seven more scores.
