Florida State already has four blue-chip wide receivers committed in its 2024 class but that hasn't stopped the coaching staff from continuing to look for pieces to stack up the room. The Seminoles brought in a trio of uncommitted wideouts over the weekend for official visits, including four-star prospect James Madison II.

Following trips to Louisville and Missouri, Madison II concluded his busy travel schedule in Tallahassee. The visit marked his third trip to Florida State this year as he got back around the coaching staff and multiple prospects that are committed to the Seminoles.

"It was good," Madison II said to NoleGameday's Dustin Lewis. "It was reassuring about the relationships just to be able to come back and be around the coaching staff again and some commitments so it was nice to be back."

FSU pledge and four-star quarterback Luke Kromenhoek was at the forefront of the recruiting efforts throughout the last few days. He's trying to get Madison II to join him in the class.

"Yeah, we talked. I don't know if ya'll know Luke too well but he's very aggressive," Madison II said. "We had a few talks about who he wants to throw to and who he wants to play with. That's all he was really saying, that he really wants to play with me and what we could do here."

"It was good," Madison II continued. "I felt like they have a good thing going and they're getting the right type of guys so it was good being around the type of guys that I see they're trying to build the program with."

The Florida native was hosted by his former high school teammate at St. Thomas Aquinas and freshman safety, Conrad Hussey. He called the visit a 'reaffirmation' of how he feels about the Seminoles.

"I wouldn't say I learned anything new but it was just a reaffirmation that what they're doing here is special," Madison said. "Coach Norvell and coach Dugans, they coach the guys that right way and keep them on track."

Head coach Mike Norvell believes that Florida State is missing a player like Madison II and that he can fill a need in the room. He's different than the four wide receivers that are already committed in #Tribe24.

"The overall message I'll probably say was there is a need in the receiver room. I can come in and I can fill that gap. I'm not like any of the other receivers. I can bring something to the game or the receiver room that they don't really have right now or in the committed class.

Madison is going into decision mode and it appears that Florida State, Missouri, and Louisville are the three teams to watch. He plans to announce a commitment on July 4.

With only a little over a week remaining until his decision, how's Madison II feeling about the Seminoles?

"They're still Florida State at the end of the day," Madison II said. "Going to come down to the wire really so we'll see."

"I'm just going to take it day by day," Madison II continued. "Whenever it comes, it's going to come."

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver is regarded as the No. 364 overall prospect, the No. 55 WR, and the No. 55 recruit in the state of Florida in the 2024 class according to 247Sports.
