FSU QB Commit Luke Kromenhoek Stands Out Ahead of 'Business Trip' at Elite 11 Finals
Florida State hosted a plethora of commitments and top targets from the 2024, 2025, and 2026 classes for its annual Elite Camp on Saturday. Plenty of prospects showed out inside Doak Campbell Stadium, including four-star quarterback pledge Luke Kromenhoek, who returned to Tallahassee for his fourth visit this year.

Kromenhoek was mainly focused on building relationships with other recruits in attendance as he begins to turn his eyes toward the Elite 11 Finals
"It was a great experience," Kromenhoek said to NoleGameday's Dustin Lewis after the workout. "Further some relationships and create new relationships with some freak athletes and just get on the timing with some of my future teammates. Overall, it was a great experience to be out here and meet some of those dudes and be able to get a good workout in with them."
Despite a light rain falling from the sky throughout the camp, Kromenhoek stood out amongst the other quarterbacks in attendance. His consistent blend of power and precision is impressive to watch. Kromenhoek's competitive spirit got the best of him on Saturday.
"I thought I threw well. Trying to dial it down a little bit, my dad actually got mad at me for throwing down there at the end because I told him I was gonna dial it down for Elite 11," Kromenhoek said. "You just get out here and you see everyone else going so you want to go. I thought it was a decent day, definitely not my best, I can do way better but it was good to get out here and just toss the rock around with some of my future teammates."
There were plenty of prospects that caught Kromenhoek's attention during the camp, including five-star tight end commit Landen Thomas, four-star running back commit Kam Davis, 2025 five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench, and 2026 wide receiver commit Devin Carter.
The Georgia native also connected with four-star wide receiver pledge BJ Gibson often throughout the evening. Kromenhoek hit Gibson on back-to-back reps for scores.
"BJ is a freak athlete and he runs so smooth, gets in and out of routes fast. I definitely think it can be a super strong connection down the road," Kromenhoek said. "Throwing to dudes like that makes me look good, make my job easy so definitely blessed to have him there."
Kromenhoek has taken on a significant role in Florida State's recruiting efforts. But it helps that he's not the only commitment that is pulling extra duty. He singled out Kam Davis and Landen Thomas as two other pledges who are doing their fair share to build #Tribe24 into something special.
"I feel like since I'm the quarterback it's kind of my job to head up that class and kind of make sure that this class is trending towards the top. I've got a bunch of dudes around me helping me recruit too which is unbelievable," Kromenhoek said. "Kam is a big one, he's out there recruiting dudes left and right so that's big as well as Landen. Landen's recruiting dudes even at his own position which is really cool. Just trying to play a big role and help get this class to the top. That's the plan so that's what I'm going to try and do."
"Definitely trying to land some dudes, creating relationships with some big-time people," Kromenhoek continued. I feel good about some other dudes and we're just going to keep working at that relationship and I'm going to keep in touch with these guys and hopefully I can get them to commit here."
Interestingly enough, Kromenhoek already has an established bond with 2025 three-star quarterback commitment Tramell Jones Jr. The two trained together in Jacksonville previously and both speak highly of one another.
"Tramell's a great dude, great athlete, hell of a quarterback. We worked together down in Jacksonville with coach Thompson at 6 Points so we already have a good connection," Kromenhoek said. "Just getting to be out here at a college we're both committed to is awesome. He's like a brother, it's a brotherhood over at 6 Points so just coming out here and being able to throw with my brother was pretty cool."
Next up on the docket is a trip out to Los Angeles to compete with other top quarterbacks in the country at the Elite 11 Finals. This is something that Kromenhoek has had circled on his calendar for quite some time. He's ready to show what he has to offer.
"I'm going to win it. It's a business trip," Kromenhoek said. "Yeah, I can go and make relationships, this and that but the main goal is to go win it and that's what I plan on doing."
"I'm super excited," Kromenhoek continued. "There's a ton of highly-rated quarterbacks out there who are great athletes and I'm just excited to be able to go out there and compete with them and throw with them and kind of just showcase my talent alongside them."
Kromenhoek will be back in Tallahassee at the end of the month for his official visit to Florida State. There are a couple of different things he's looking for during the trip.
"Just being with everybody. Bringing the whole family here, getting to show everyone the experience and just being with some of the other commits," Kromenhoek said. "Furthering those relationships and just getting to hang out with them outside of the football aspect."
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound quarterback is regarded as the No. 63 overall prospect, the No. 8 QB, and the No. 10 recruit in the state of Georgia in the 2024 class according to 247Sports.
