Seminoles Pushing For Three-Star DB Kevin Levy, Who Has Scheduled An Upcoming Commitment

Another FSU target will announce his decision in the near future.

Florida State is lining up what could be another successful weekend on the recruiting trail. After landing four commitments within a span of two days earlier in July, The Seminoles have a chance to load up on multiple pledges yet again.

On Tuesday evening, three-star defensive back Kevin Levy announced that he'll be making his decision on Saturday, July 15. The Seminoles have been pushing for Levy throughout the year and have turned up the heat after hosting him for an official visit from June 16-18.

Levy's visit to Tallahassee last month was his third of the calendar year. The Seminoles are impressed by his speed and believe he could fit in at multiple positions in the secondary. Head coach Mike Norvell has expressed to Levy that Florida State is the best fit for him.

"The meeting was great," Levy said to NoleGameday previously. "He was really telling me why they want me here at Florida State, why he thinks Florida State would be the best fit for me and anytime I feel like I can come, I can come."

The Florida native held FSU in high regard coming out of his official visit. He didn't release a top schools list with his commitment date but also officially visited Rutgers, Louisville, and Illinois in June.

"They [FSU] definitely in my top-5," Levy said. "They definitely a big priority for me," Levy said.

Outside of the fact that Florida State's coaching staff is interested in Levy, the Seminoles may have another aspect running in their favor. Levy's cousin - four-star cornerback Ricky Knight - committed to #Tribe24 earlier this month.

The two haven't pledged to play together at the next level but Levy might not be able to pass up the opportunity in Tallahassee to stay close to his family. It will be something to watch as Saturday draws closer.

Florida State holds 15 verbal commitments in its 2024 class which ranks No. 15 in the country. Outside of Levy, three-star offensive lineman Tye Hylton, four-star offensive lineman Jonathan Daniels, four-star running back Micahi Danzy, and three-star defensive back Ashton Hampton are all scheduled to announce on Friday or Saturday.

The 6-foot, 170-pound defensive back is regarded as the No. 534 overall prospect, the No. 44 ATH, and the No. 62 recruit in the state of Florida in the 2024 class according to 247Sports.
