Seminole quarterback pledge Luke Kromenhoek entered the week with a mission as his Benedictine Military School squad matched up with Ware County. Despite winning the state championship a year ago, one of Kromehoek's two losses in his first season as a starter came at the hands of Ware County.
That provided plenty of motivation entering Friday night as he worked to avenge the defeat. Benedictine trailed 14-0 prior to Kromenhoek leading the Cadets back. He ended up tossing three touchdowns as his team came out on top 31-24, advancing to 4-0 on the season.
Kromenhoek's big night included a game-changing touchdown pass that would've been considered a SportsCenter top-10 play if he was wearing garnet and gold. He tossed a ridiculous scoring pass off one foot to get Benedictine back in the game in the second quarter, per Dennis Knight of the Savannah Morning News.
The Georgia native is now 17-2 as a starting quarterback at the high school level. He's expected to be in the stands when the Seminoles take on the Southern Miss Golden Eagles on Saturday night in their home opener. Kromenhoek has been committed to Florida State for well over a year and is solid in his pledge.
Florida State holds 21 verbal commitments in its 2024 class which ranks No. 4 in the country according to 247Sports.
