College Football Rankings Predictions for Fourth Show

The CFP selection committee will release the fourth week of their rankings tonight at 7 p.m. on ESPN, and here is our predictions for tonight's show.

The fourth round of the CFP Rankings is set to be released Tuesday night, with several teams inside the top 5 having key wins over the weekend.

The College Football Playoff matches the No. 1 ranked team vs. No. 4, and No. 2 vs. No. 3 in semifinal games that rotate annually among six bowl games – the Goodyear Cotton Bowl, Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Capital One Orange Bowl, Allstate Sugar Bowl and Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential. This season's Playoff Semifinals will take place Monday, January 1, 2024, at the Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential and Allstate Sugar Bowl. The College Football Playoff National Championship will be on Monday, January 8, 2024, at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

CFP Rankings Predictions - Fourth Show

1. Georgia - For the third consecutive week, the two-time defending champion controlled a top-25 opponent from start to finish. They've managed to seemingly stroll through the toughest stretch of their regular season slate. They are playing perhaps their best football as the regular season comes to a close.

2. Ohio State - After falling out of the No. 1 spot for the first time in the rankings a week ago, Ohio State handled their business against a lesser-than opponent in Minnesota. It's the week of "The Game" between the Buckeyes and Michigan, the Big Ten's playoff applicant will be crowned this weekend.

3. Washington - The Huskies overcame a litany of hurdles that most "finesse" and "air raid" teams do not Saturday night in a chilling and driving rainstorm in Corvallis, Oregon. The fourth-quarter win over a Top-15 ranked Oregon State should give Washington the bump into the top-4 they've been seeking since their home win over No. 6 Oregon.

4. Michigan - The Wolverines were held to under 300 yards of total offense for the second consecutive weekend in the Big Ten. Granted, they've managed to win both football games, thanks to tremendous defensive performances themselves, including scoring a touchdown this past weekend against a struggling Maryland bunch that managed to make this a fourth-quarter fight.
