Dylan Raiola Potentially Flipping to Nebraksa? What's Going on With the UGA Commit
With the new landscape of college football becoming surrounded by the transfer portal and NIL signings, another common trend has been the flipping of commitments multiple times throughout the recruiting process. Some news has come to light about one of the Bulldogs 2024 commits, possibly flipping his commitment.
Dylan Raiola, who moved in-state over the summer from Arizona, announced his commitment to Georgia not long before joining the Buford Wolves. When he came to Buford, he immediately began recruiting some of his teammates to come to Georgia, such as KJ Bolden and Eddrick Houston. He tore up competition throughout the summer and regular season to bring his team to an elite eight appearance, where they lost to Grayson H.S.
A few weeks after their season's conclusion, there are rumors of Raiola again flipping his commitment. The 5-star QB was originally committed to Ohio State, then recommitted and joined the Dawgs, but now is being rumored to flip his commitment to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, where his dad played and his uncle currently coaches.
While there hasn't been an official word come from Raiola's camp, reputable sources have claimed this projection, such as 247Sports Steven Wiltfong. Early signing day is slated for next Wednesday, Dec. 20th, and Kirby Smart and his staff will do everything they can to keep Raiola in Georgia and a Dawg.
The rumors will be swirling regarding Raiola and where he may land likely all the way until next Wednesday, or whenever the talented QB decides to sign. Regardless, everything is "not true" until Raiola himself or someone from his camp confirms that he will go elsewhere. Though reports have surfaced that he will be taking an official visit to Nebraska this week.
