Updated Mock Draft Rankings for Georgia Players

Two Georgia players seem like a lock for the first round in the 2024 NFL Draft. Could a couple more find their way in to the top 32?

Mock drafts are what they are. Anyone with access to a computer can publish their predictions for what will happen in April, but as we see time and time again, no one knows what's going on in the heads of NFL GMs.

Charlie Campbell of Walter Football, who claims to have led all NFL writers in "mock draft accuracy in 2022, 2019, & 2017" only hit on 11 correct picks in his 2022 Mock Draft, which, though only a 34% hit rate, is incredible. It's an inexact science, but when you look at all of the thousands of mock drafts that get published, you can get a pretty good idea of where a player will go.

Georgia has a host of players who have first-round potential, but where and when will they be selected? NFL Mock Draft Database compiles all of the mock drafts from around the internet, specifically from the past couple of weeks, to give us a good idea of where a player could go.

Brock Bowers - TE

Bowers' stock has fluctuated recently. At the beginning of the process most had him going in the top-10, but recently he's fallen into the 15-18 range. He still has a chance to show out at the combine. He's been selected in the first round of 97.7% of mock drafts, with 44% of them sending him to the Los Angeles Chargers with the fifth pick.

Amarius Mims - OT

Most pre-draft analysis of Mims is the same: "He's only played 800 snaps but his athleticism and size are incredible, etc, etc." He's almost undoubtedly a first-round, pick, with his average selection around pick 23.

Kamari Lassiter - CB

Lassiter is going to be a fringe first-round selection. Some team may fall in love with his attitude and skills, but most mocks have him going around pick 29. He's only been selected in the first round of 35.2% of recent mock drafts. That's not an indictment of Lassiter's skills as much as it's a credit to how deep this cornerback class is.

Ladd McConkey - WR

McConkey is a player that's going to benefit greatly from the combine. NFL scouts got their first in-person look at the wideout during the Reese's Senior Bowl, where he showed out at practice and during the game. The second round seems to be the floor for McConkey. His most prominent selection in recent mock drafts has been Carolina with the 33rd pick.
