Week seven of the 2024 college football season was slam-packed with action. It was a weekend that featured multiple late-night thrillers with Stanford-Colorado or Boise State and Colorado State. This weekend also featured four AP top-25 matchups, and four more top-25 teams being defeated by unranked opponents. The Georgia Bulldogs, on the other hand, handled their business against the Vanderbilt Commodores, as the AP Poll ranks them the number one team in week eight.

From the four top-25 matchups, Oregon and Washington had an instant classic in Seattle, WA, as the Huskies overcame a late 33-29 deficit to defeat the Ducks and Dan Lanning. Notre Dame manhandled the USC Trojans, picking off Caleb Williams three times in the first half en route to their 48-20 victory last night. North Carolina handled business against the Miami Hurricanes, winning 41-31, and Oregon State did the same against UCLA, winning 36-24 despite giving up over 450 total yards to UCLA.

Meanwhile, Kansas picked up their second loss, losing to Oklahoma State 39-32. Louisville saw their undefeated season come to an end, losing to Pitt 38-21. Arizona demolished Washington State to hand them their second loss, defeating the Cougars 44-6. Finally, Kentucky suffered another gut-wrenching loss, falling to their feline foe, the Missouri Tigers.

This week, the Georgia Bulldogs will hed into their bye week and start preparing for their rival, the Florida Gators. Some important games to watch for the playoff landscape this weekend will be Penn State at Ohio State, Tennessee at Alabama, and Duke at Florida State.
