Georgia Football Stays Number One Team In Latest AP Poll

After escaping Jordan-Hare Stadium with a 27-20 victory led by Brock Bowers, the Georgia Bulldogs remain on top of the AP Poll.

After another exciting weekend of college football for week five, the Top-25 AP Poll is shaking up more. This weekend was filled with exciting games that almost saw a lot of upsets within the top 15 teams. After an exceptional fourth-quarter performance by Brock Bowers that led Georgia past the Auburn Tigers, the Bulldogs Stay the number one team in the latest AP Poll.

USC also saw a late surge from Colorado put the Trojans' backs against the wall, where they escaped Boulder, CO, with a 48-41 win. Utah could not do the same, losing to Oregon State, while LSU was upset like Utah, losing to Ole Miss. Notre Dame fended off Duke after a tough loss last week against Ohio State. Washington was in a close game with Arizona but pulled away last night with a victory.

Meanwhile, Kentucky manhandled Florida to upset them 33-14 after taking a 20-0 early in the first half. Texas took care of business against Kansas, and the rest of the top 25 won their games or had a bye week.
