What Georgia is Getting in Commit Demello Jones

On St. Patrick's Day, the Georgia Bulldogs welcomed in their 10th commit for their 2024 recruiting class when ATH Demello Jones announced his commitment to the University via Twitter.

According to 247sports, the Swainsboro, Georgia native is currently a 4-star recruit and is the 28th-ranked player in the state of Georgia overall. Jones is currently listed at 6"1, 176 pounds, and plays multiple positions on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

On offense, Jones played primarily at the quarterback position where he ran the read option. He possesses excellent vision and elite breakaway speed that makes him almost impossible to track down in the open field. He also has shown an elite pass-catching ability at the receiver position from time to time.

On defense, the 4-star mostly plays the defensive back position. He once again uses his speed to track the ball in the air and has an excellent ability to change direction and make tackles in the open field.

Sources have indicated that Jones will begin his career as a defensive back at Georgia. However, his elite skillset and abilities to play multiple positions will surely make him a contributor for the Dawgs in the near future.
