Former Georgia Player Mecole Hardman Expecting Child on Day of Super Bowl LVII
While Mecole Hardman might not be playing in Super Bowl LVII. He will be apart of something that is arguably even more special. The Birth of his child. A few hours ago on Twitter, Hardman revealed that his girlfriend Chariah Gordon's water had broke. Gordon has since then, gone into labor.
Hardman's repertoire is certainly well-known around Athens. As a Bulldog, the 5"10 speedster caught 11 total touchdowns in just two seasons of play. He was also a dynamic special teams threat, returning a total of nearly 600 yards and a touchdown.
Hardman has since then, become a mainstay in Andy Reid's offense earning over 2,000 receiving yards in his four years with the Chiefs. His production was unfortunately hindered by injuries in the 2022-23 season. So much so, that he appeared in just 9 games. In those 9 games, he was able to average 11.9 yards per reception and totaled for 4 receiving touchdowns as well as a pair on the ground.
While missing the Super Bowl would be a dream crusher to almost any player. having the opportunity to be present for the birth of your child would almost certainly makes up for it.
