BREAKING: Georgia Analyst Headed to the NFL

Former Georgia analyst Robert Muschamp is headed to be a quality control coach for the Los Angeles Chargers.

Just a couple of days after offensive coordinator Todd Monken decided to make the transition back to the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens, another Georgia coach is headed to the professional football league. This time it's Robert Muschamp, Will Muschamp's nephew, who will now be a quality control coach for the Los Angeles Chargers.

Muschamp has been with the Georgia football program for the past two seasons as an analyst and was with Tennessee for a couple of years prior to that. He also played college football for Auburn for four seasons as a tight end from 2015-18. He saw action on special teams and even served as the team's fullback early into his career.

Georgia hired Will Muschamp back in 2021 and then a year later was promoted to co-defensive coordinator alongside Glenn Schumann. His son, Jackson Muschamp, is also a quarterback for the football team currently. Needless to say, the program has been littered with Muschamps for the past couple of seasons.

Since Kirby Smart took over as head coach, not only has the program become a hot bed for developing immensely talented football players, but coaches as well. Several former assistants at Georgia are now head coaches of their own teams and some have been able to move up the coaching totem pole after a stint with the program. R. Muschamp is yet another example of it. A former college defensive analyst to now a coach in the professional football league.
