WATCH: Kirby Smart Talks Georgia's Win Over Auburn Tigers

Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart talks about Georgia's win over Auburn Tigers during week five of college football.
In this story:

It was a tale of an ugly first half for Georgia as they turned the ball over twice, which helped Auburn stay in the game. The Tigers also managed to hit an explosive run play with Payton Thorne to really get some momentum rolling the Tigers' way early in the game. Auburn was able to keep the game close for the entire first half as both teams went into the locker room tied at ten.

When the second half rolled around, it was the Brock Bowers show offensively for the Bulldogs. He made several huge plays on third and long to keep the sticks moving and then had another massive reception worth 40 yards on 2nd and long late in the fourth to help Georgia regain the lead. Bowers would finish with eight receptions, 157 yards, and a touchdown.

It was then Georgia's defense that made the biggest play of the day as on fourth and long, safety Malaki Starks intercepted Thorne's pass to seal the game and allow Georgia to earn their second conference win of the season. It was not the prettiest of wins for the Bulldogs, but it got the job done and maintained their perfect record on the season. Dawgs win 27-20 by a final score.

Coach Smart talked about Georgia's win after the game, specifically how he thought Beck played and how impressed he was with Bowers in the second half. Here is everything he said:
