One of college football's historic rivalries will be taking place this weekend in the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry. This matchup of Georgia vs. Auburn has a deeply enriched history but has seen Georgia dominating in the past few years. The Dawgs Daily staff is here with our final score predictions for the rivalry in Jordan-Hare Stadium this weekend.

Brooks Austin: Georgia 31, Auburn 10

Historically one-sided offenses going against Kirby Smart have little to no success. I think Auburn's defense is good enough to keep this to a 14-10 type of football, but as the game progresses, Georgia's offense will settle in through explosives and by getting the run game going. Auburn has SEC bodies on the defensive side of the ball and will keep it close initially, but overall Georgia has the upper hand and will be able to pull away and earn their second conference victory on the season.

Ethan Offutt: Georgia 31, Auburn 7

Auburn's defense has been the backbone of their team for the season thus far, ranking top-30 nationally in defensive statistics, including being ranked sixth nationally in red zone defense. That area of the field Georgia began to hit their stride with last week, but previous lackluster performances may be an issue this weekend but I don't see that happening. A poor Auburn offense against a good Georgia defense will let the Bulldog offense get in a rhythm early, and move the Bulldogs to 5-0, winning 31-7.

Jordan-Hare will be rocking on Saturday and Auburn will be highly motivated to knock off the two-time defending national champion and current No.1 team in the nation. The vibes will be ripe for an upset, but vibes do not win football games, matchups and players do, and in this game both the talent edge and matchups clearly favor the Bulldogs. Auburn sits at No.2 in the SEC in rushing offense, but after throwing for under 100 passing yards for the fifth-consecutive time against a Power Five opponent, Auburn has dropped to dead last in the SEC in passing offense, yards per attempt, and QB rating. One dimensional teams simply do not beat Georgia, especially when that one dimension is running the football. While Georgia might not be quite as strong against the run this year without a future first round draft pick at defensive tackle, defending the run still remains the strength of the Georgia defense and the Bulldog defense feasts on offenses that struggle to throw the football. Since 2020, Georgia has played eight teams that finished the season in the bottom three of passing offense and those teams have combined to score 8.6 points per game against the Bulldogs. Nothing is impossible in college football, but in order for Auburn to win this football game they will have to overcome overwhelming history and trends and doing so will have to involve significant help from Georgia. Georgia won't be in the giving mood on Saturday and will leave the Plains with 2-0 in the SEC.

Jonathan Williams: Georgia 38, Auburn 10

Georgia, under Kirby Smart, has dominated the Deep South's Oldest rivalry. The Bulldogs have only lost to the Tigers once since 2016, and since the loss in 2017, the Tigers have failed to score more than 14 points in any of the last six matchups. I think this weekend is going to be a lot of the same. Auburn's offense has failed to find any consistency, and their passing game is 113th in the nation while also averaging nearly two turnovers per game. I think Georgia's defense is going to keep Auburn from finding any major success on offense, while Georgia's offense helps the team cruise to yet another victory on the season. Dawgs win big on the road.
