Georgia's wide receiver depth this season is arguably the deepest it has ever been under Kirby Smart. The Bulldogs brought in several talented pieces from the 2023 recruiting class, added two SEC players from the transfer portal, and return the majority of their production from a season ago. This group has the potential to make a major splash in the 2023 season, and some players are poised to take a massive step forward.

The Bulldogs know what they have in a lot of their returning players. Ladd McConkey is a bonafide playmaker, Arian Smith is gonna take the top off of a defense, Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint is gonna be a grinder, and even Rara Thomas and Dominic Lovett have shown what they are capable of at their previous schools. But there are also guys like Dillon Bell on the roster, who have not yet surged onto the college football scene just yet, but he is certainly capable of doing so in the upcoming year.

Bell as a freshman played in all 15 games, caught 20 passes for 180 yards, and scored three touchdowns. He was ranked as just a three-star recruit coming out of high school and wasn't even listed within the top 50 at his position. But one thing that Georgia has shown in recent years is they know how to really tap into a player's skill set and develop them into a big-time contributor in the SEC.

Part of what makes Bell such a valuable asset to Georgia's offense is the ability to really plug and play him at multiple spots. He can play the role of a Z receiver if you need him to or you can slide him into the slot spot and he'll be productive from that portion of the field as well. When a room is as loaded down as Georgia's wide receiver room is, being a flexible option position-wise is a good way to help make sure you see the field, and Bell has the skill set to do so.

Bell may not be the first or even second name that comes to mind when thinking about the options that the Dawgs have at wide receiver this year, but he is deserving of mention. Year two is often a time in which players really find themselves as a college football player, and Bell is poised to take that next step in 2023.
