Georgia Looks to Tie SEC's Longest Win Streak

This Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs will be looking to make SEC history as they head to Knoxville, Tennessee

Since the 2021 season, the Georgia Bulldogs have been on one of the most impressive streaks in college football history. On top of two national championships, an SEC Championship, and an abundance of first-round picks in the NFL Draft, the Bulldogs have now won 27 straight matchups.

The Bulldogs' 27th win surpassed the Alabama Crimson Tide for the third-place spot. The Tide won 26 games from 2015-2016 under current head coach Nick Saban. Georgia head coach Kirby Smart served as the team's defensive coordinator for a handful of those victories as well.

With a win on Saturday, the Bulldogs will tie the SEC's all-time winning streak of 28 games. The current record is held by two separate Alabama Crimson Tide teams under two different coaches. The team won 28 games from 1991-1993 under Gene Stallings, as well as 1978-1980 under legendary coach Paul "Bear" Bryant.

The Bulldogs will look to join this elite group of teams as they face the Tennessee Volunteers on the road in Knoxville. The Bulldogs are currently a 10-point favorite to win the game.
