The NFL Combine is just a few weeks away, with 319 total athletes departing for Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana for what will ultimately be the biggest job interview of their football careers.

Among those 319 players, 12 Georgia Bulldogs will be in attendance. With former Georgia quarterback, Stetson Bennett expected to make his NFL Draft prep debut, we take a look at how the two-time national champ should stack up against the other quarterbacks in attendance.

History of the NFL Combine would lead one to believe that the upper echelon of quarterbacks — those projected to be presumed first-round caliber — rarely throw at this event. Though, even if the likes of Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Anthony Richardson, or even Will Levis were to opt out of the throwing event, Stetson Bennett has quite the row to hoe either way. Bennett was hard to find on NFL Mock Draft boards prior to his recent public intoxication incident, the NFL Combine is the chance to answer more than questions about his presumed physical limitations.

Let's address the physical questions first. The Combine, assuming Bennett were to throw, will likely be an eye-opener for most with regard to his abilities. Listen to Kirby Smart talk about Bennett's arm talent over the years, he almost scoffs at the question. "He's never lacked arm strength. He's got plenty of arm talent" was often his response. If you were to walk up on Stetson Bennett warming up, it's not breathtaking like an Anthony Richardson, but there's un-doubtable life in the football from Bennett.

 2023 NFL Combine - Quarterbacks

  • Tyson Bagent, Shepherd
  • Stetson Bennett, Georgia
  • Malik Cunningham, Louisville
  • Max Duggan, TCU
  • Jake Haener, Fresno State
  • Jaren Hall, BYU
  • Hendon Hooker, Tennessee
  • Will Levis, Kentucky
  • Tanner McKee, Stanford
  • Aidan O'Connell, Purdue
  • Anthony Richardson, Florida
  • C.J. Stroud, Ohio State
  • Dorian Thompson-Robinson, UCLA
  • Clayton Tune, Houston
  • Bryce Young, Alabama

As for the testing events, again assuming Bennett were to run, all signs indicate Bennett will run fast. He's shown over his career an ability to not only evade but run away from SEC Defenders. Sources indicated that Bennett could run near the 4.6 range at the combine.

Assuming Bennett tests, as well as his tape indicates, and decision-makers can get their eyes on Bennett throwing the football in person, it should be a good week for Bennett from a physical standpoint. Though Bennett will undoubtedly face tougher questions in the meeting rooms in Indianapolis.
