Rara Thomas Provides Update on Status with Team

Georgia wideout Rara Thomas has posted an update on his status with the Georgia Football program

Rara Thomas provided Georgia fans with a much anticipated update on his instagram earlier this Friday morning as he posted a photo in front of his locker in the Georgia Football locker room.

The transfer wide receiver from Mississippi State was arrested earlier this year on charges of false imprisonment as well as a misdemeanor charge of family violence following a reported dispute with a female in a dorm room on campus. His future with the team was up in the air after the arrest. However while there has been no official report thus far, it seems that Thomas is expecting to play for the Bulldogs in the 2023 season.

In his sophomore season with Mississippi State, Thomas caught an impressive 44 passes for a total of 226 yards and 7 touchdowns. He is expected to get play a major role in the Georgia offense as one of the two transfer receivers to join the Bulldog’s program this year. His role will likely be as Georgia's new “X” receiver, a position formerly dominated by AD Mitchell prior to his departure to the University of Texas via the transfer portal .
