Tyler Atkinson, Five-Star Linebacker Narrows Recruitment, Includes Georgia
The state of Georgia is widely known as a hotbed for nationally coveted prospects on an annual basis. The 2026 class, though a few years away, is expected to be one of the best yet. With the No. 1 player in the country, quarterback Julian Lewis leading the charge, he's not the only top-rated player nationally at his position in the Peach State
Linebacker Tyler Atkinson received his first collegiate offer in the eight grade as an edge rusher, he's transitioned into the linebacker position on the high school level, while also maintaining a devasting ability to get after the quarterback.
As a freshman a year ago, Atkinson racked up 112 tackles, 22 TFLs, and added 8.0 sacks from the linebacker position. He's currently ranked The No. 21 player overall by the 247composite and he's narrowed his recruitment down to just ten schools.
Atkinson announced today that moving forward, he's focused on the following; Florida State, Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, North Carolina, LSU, Texas, Auburn, Ohio State, and Tennessee.
The 2026 product out of Grayson high school was in Death Valley this past weekend to watch the Florida State Seminoles win a thriller.
