There have been plenty of changes after a disappointing season for Georgia Tech baseball.

Gone is pitching coaching Danny Borrell and the program brought in Matt Taylor from the Atlanta Braves organization to help try and fix an issue plaguing the Yellow Jackets for some time. Over the past couple of weeks, Georgia Tech has been adding talented players through the transfer portal in hopes of having a big bounce-back season in 2024.

Let's take a look at the new faces that will be at Georgia Tech this season.

This page will be updated with any new transfer news that is sure to come in the future.

Cam Jones- Pitcher/Outfielder, Georgia State

Matthew Ellis- Catcher, Indiana

Ellis announced on his Instagram page last night that he would be transferring from Indiana to Georgia Tech. Although he was banged up last season, Ellis was a productive player in 2022.

Ellis is tied for No. 7 on IU’s single-season home run charts (18) with Kyle Schwarber (2013) and Alex Smith (1986) ... Finished tied for No. 10 on the single-season RBI charts (65) at Indiana, tied with Seth Bynum (2004), Vasili Spanos (2002) and Doug DeVore (1999) (Stats courtesy of Indiana Baseball).

Patel is another transfer coming over from Georgia State and hoping to make an impact on the pitching staff. Right-handed pitcher with a 3.47 ERA in three seasons (19 appearances) but has been limited by injuries.
