Georgia Tech target Ahmad Nowell commits to UConn
Georgia Tech missed out on one of its targets in the 2024 class today.
Four-star guard Ahmad Nowell chose to commit to the defending national champion UConn Huskies today over the Yellow Jackets and other schools.
Nowell, who plays at Imhotep Institute in Philadelphia, PA, took a visit to Atlanta on June 14th, but Nowell started to pick up 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions to land with the Huskies from analysts.
Nowell is the 36th-ranked player in the 247Sports Composite, the No. 3 combo guard in the country, and the No. 2 player in the state of Pennsylvania. He holds other offers from Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky, Kansas, Memphis, and Saint Johns.
Georgia Tech does not have a commitment so far in either their 2024 class or 2025 class. Yellow Jackets head coach Damon Stoudamire got two prospects in the 2023 class in Ibrahima Sacko and four-star forward Baye Ndongo. He also brought in the 17th-ranked transfer class according to 247Sports.
