Is Georgia Tech trending to land one of the best players in the class of 2025?
Georgia Tech is getting an official visit from one of the top players in the 2025 class this weekend. Jerry Easter, a 6'3 190 LBS shooting guard, is a top 25 player in the 247Sports Composite and is currently leading in the On3 recruiting prediction machine to land Easter. Easter will also take an unofficial visit to Michigan State on September 23rd.
Easter is ranked as the 23rd-best player on the 247Sports Composite and the No. 3 shooting guard in the country in that class. He also holds other offers from Michigan State, Arizona State, Cincinnati, Florida State, Louisville, LSU, Ohio State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, UCLA, and USC, among others.
There is obviously a long way to go in the 2025 recruiting class, but it is good that Yellow Jackets head coach Damon Stoudamire is getting talented players like Easter on campus for official visits. Georgia Tech needs to level up its recruiting and landing elite players like this is the trick.
As for the 2024 class, Georgia Tech is hoping to hear good news next week when the No. 28 player in the country, Jaeden Mustaf, will announce where he is committing. Georgia Tech is one of the six finalists along with Arkansas, Florida State, NC State, Maryland, and Indiana.
Last month, On3 national basketball recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw put in a prediction for Georgia Tech to land Mustaf. He put the prediction in with a confidence of 60 and it seems like the Yellow Jackets might be the team to beat in this recruitment.
