ACC Standings After First Weekend Action in February

Georgia Tech remains at the bottom of the ACC standings after NC State loss

What a Saturday of action it was in the ACC.

Georgia Tech battled all game and fell short in their upset bid against NC State, which extended their losing streak to nine games. The season has been spiraling out of control and it might cost Josh Pastner his job.

Duke and North Carolina renewed their rivalry and the game did not disappoint. Duke came out on top and is creeping toward the top of the ACC standings.

Clemson might have lost at home to Miami, but the Tigers still remain alone at the top of the ACC standings, due to Virginia losing to Virginia Tech.

The Cavaliers had a perfect chance to move into first place this weekend, but Virginia Tech was able to pull off the upset in Blacksburg. Not only did the loss end UVA's winning streak, but it also bumped them into third place in the ACC.

Pittsburgh now sits in second place in the ACC and the Panthers were off yesterday.

Duke is 8-4 after their win over the Tar Heels and it dropped UNC to 7-5.

Wake Forest and Syracuse are now 7-6 after victories on Saturday. The Demon Deacons defeated Notre Dame and Syracuse went on the road and beat Boston College.

Florida State escaped with a three-point win against Louisville to get to 6-7.

Boston College is 5-8, while Virginia Tech is 4-8. Notre Dame (2-10), Louisville (1-11), and Georgia Tech (1-12) round out the bottom of the conference.
