2024 Offensive Tackle Favour Edwin Talks Georgia Tech And Recent Offer

Edwin is one of the rising players in the 2024 class

2024 Offensive tackle Favour Edwin (Eagles Landing Christian, GA) has been on the rise this spring and getting noticed by power five programs. He holds recent offers from Georgia Tech and Florida and is just getting started ahead of a big senior season.

Edwin got a chance to sit down with FanNation's director of recruiting Brooks Austin and talk and one of the amazing things about Edwin is that football is still a new game to him since he moved from Nigeria just two years ago:

"It has been amazing, its been a great journey, most especially the people that you meet along the journey and I have met a lot of great people and most people I have met along the way have been selfless. When you start seeing the selfless sacrifices of people, it changes your mindset to ok its not about me, you have to find a way to give back to people. I think the people I have met along the way have been the most impressive. Everything has definitely been different and its been amazing"

When talking about Yellow Jackets head coach Brent Key, Edwin had nothing but good things to say about what Key is trying to build on The Flats and how he is as a coach:

"That head coach man, I am not going to lie, he is one of my favorites. The way he like... when I went over there, he did not say a word all of practice, he was just watching and observing and the other coaches, the energy there, I was experiencing the different coaches and culture so when I went to Georgia Tech, he was relaxed and observing everything, there was no music, if you messed up, he was a detailed guy. He lays back and watches the whole thing and lets other coaches handle it but he is actually in control. He watches it from afar and I love that, I really love that from him. He is going to keep watching you and walk up to you. That was something I actually loved from him.

I went to the spring game and the offense is going to be really good, I think they are going to be better than last year for sure."

Georgia Tech has definitely made an impression on Edwin and if the Yellow Jackets have a winning season, I think they are going to be right in the thick of things for the talented in-state offensive tackle.
