2024 Four-Star Defensive End Dealyn Evans Sets Official Visit To Georgia Tech

Evans is a current Texas A&M commit in the 2024 recruiting class

Georgia Tech is going to be getting a big visit from a four-star pass rusher this summer.

Earlier today, Kelly Quinlan of JacketsOnline reported that current Texas A&M commit and four-star defensive end Dealyn Evans (Longview, TX) is going to be in Atlanta this summer for an official visit and that is massive news for Georgia Tech.

Evans is rated as the 70th-best player nationally 247Sports and the 10th-ranked defensive lineman. He is the highest-rated commit in the Aggies class currently and a player with a huge ceiling.

At 6'4 260 LBS, Evans displays quickness on the defensive line and I think he is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential.

Georgia Tech and defensive line coach Marco Coleman are going to have to fight hard to land Evans though. He is still committed to the Aggies and has official visits to Florida and TCU scheduled. Getting an official visit is huge, but now Coleman and head coach Brent Key have to seal the deal and land a player of this caliber.

If he were to flip to the Yellow Jackets, he would be the highest-rated commit since Jahmyr Gibbs in the 2020 class.

The 2024 class for Georgia Tech currently ranks 31st on 247Sports, which is 8th in the ACC.

The 2024 class for Georgia Tech is headlined by four-star quarterback Jakhari Williams (Macon, GA). Williams has been the building block for Key in this class and is going to be the quarterback of the future for the Yellow Jackets.

2024 Commitments

  • Jakhari Williams (QB)
  • Duke Watson (RB)
  • Santana Alo-Tupuola (IOL)
  • Jordan Boyd (DE/LB)
  • Demontrae Gaston (LB)
  • Tah'j Butler (LB)
