Georgia Tech Ready For Another Big Official Visit Weekend
Georgia Tech held its first official visit weekend last weekend and got two commitments out of it and possibly more in the coming weeks. Now, Brent Key and the rest of the staff are preparing for another big weekend that includes two four-star prospects that will be on campus.
Let's break down who is going to be at Georgia Tech this weekend.
ATH Kylan Fox (Grayson, GA)
Fox has been one of Georgia Tech's top targets and scheduled his official visit this week after deciding to not visit Miami. Fox took an OV to UCF last weekend and has visits scheduled to Colorado and Florida State after this weekend. Fox is ranked as the 219th best player in the country on 247Sports and is likely to play tight end at Georgia Tech.
Here is the scouting report on Fox from 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins:
"A two-way player on Friday nights that has gotten snaps at both tight end and edge rusher. Has the desired measurements as he’s over 6-foot-4 and blessed with some additional length in the arms. Flashed on the defensive side of the ball as a sophomore in the Peach State’s highest classification, but started to bill himself as more of a tight end after a junior campaign in which he caught 25 passes for 326 yards and two scores. As a route runner, uses lanky stride to get across the field and find holes in zone coverage. Owns a bigger catch radius, but needs to keep improving the hands. Must also learn how to consistently find leverage if he’s going to be a true in-line player on Saturdays. As a defender, has showcased the ability to get around the corner and get home as he uses a nice forward lean to generate momentum. However, will need to keep progressing and learn how to formulate a plan as a pass rusher if his primary goal one day will be to pressure opposing quarterbacks. Overall, should be viewed as big athlete with some tools to work with. A case could be made that his ceiling might be highest on defense given length and burst, but had his moments as a pass catcher spring before senior season on the camp circuit."
WR Mario Craver (Pinson, AL)
Craver is the other four-star prospect that will be on campus this weekend and this would be a big recruiting win for this staff. This is Craver;s first official visit of the summer. He holds offers from schools such as Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Arkansas, Florida State, Louisville, LSU, Ole Miss, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, and UCF, among others. He is ranked as the 302nd-best player in the country and the No. 46 wide receiver.
Here is the scouting report on Craver from 247Sports national recruiting analyst Cooper Petagna:
Estimated at 5-foot-9 and 150-pounds plus, possesses a narrow frame but appears to be able to add 10-to15 pounds to his frame at the next level. Flashes excellent athleticism out of the slot at the receiver position.
"Efficient mover that possesses outstanding route tempo off the line of scrimmage and in and out of breaks. Shows the ability to separate with excellent short area quickness, suddenness and short area change of direction of ability. Can create mismatches out of the slot with not only his quickness but his speed as he possesses a natural ability to change gears in and out of breaks. Possesses good play speed with the ability to separate from defenders in the open field. Recorded a 10.74 in the 100 meters in April of 2022 as his play speed matches his timed speed.
Appears to display natural pass catching ability at the catch point and flashes excellent make you miss and elusiveness in the open field. Has the ability to create as a runner and has shown the ability to consistently find hidden yardage with after catch elusiveness and the ability to play through contact.
Dynamic undersized athlete that checks multiple boxes with verified speed, explosiveness and home run hitting ability to overcompensate for lack of size. Projects as a potential immediate contributor and a Power Five multi-year starter out of the slot at the next level. Will need a year to add some bulk to his frame but has the ability to thrive sooner rather than later in the right offensive system."
WR Koby Young (New Orleans, LA)
Young is a three-star receiver according to 247Sports, but he is being pursued by some top programs. He holds offers from LSU, Florida State, and Alabama, among others, and being from New Orleans, LSU could be the school to beat. Still, getting him on campus is huge and it is Young's first official visit.
Here are some stats and notes from 247Sports analyst Gabe Brooks:
"Also runs track.In limited junior reps, posted a 22.78 200-meter time in Spring 2023.Ran an 11.47 100 and 200-meter times of 22.53 and 22.59 as a sophomore in Spring 2022. Also posted a 52.51 400. Recorded a 7.31 60-meter dash, a 23.94 200, and a 20-1 long jump in indoor competition in Jan. 2022.

OT Jameson Riggs (Hiram, GA)
Riggs is one of the top offensive line targets for Georgia Tech and he will be on campus this weekend. Riggs was at Clemson on an OV last week and has one scheduled to Auburn next week. He also holds offers from USC, Tennessee, and Ohio State, among others.
Riggs is ranked No. 553 in the country on 247 Sports and the No. 43 OT.
OT Jordan Floyd (Parkview, GA)
Another one of Georgia Tech's top offensive line targets, Floyd will be on campus this weekend. He is ranked as the No. 675 prospect in the country and the No. 55 OT. Floyd was at UCF last weekend and has taken unofficial visits to Florida State.
LB Demontrae Gaston (Pensacola, FL)
Gaston is the lone commit on campus for an official this weekend. He is the No. 967 player in the country and No. 84 linebacker. Wake Forest, Tulane, Troy, Liberty, and Memphis are some of the schools that have offered Gaston.
OT Terez Davis (Hyattsville, MD)
Davis is another offensive line target for Georgia Tech and this will be his first official visit of the summer. He is scheduled to be at Syracuse next weekend and then at Virginia Tech.
TE David Prince (Brunswick, GA)
