For now, Georgia Tech owns a top 25 recruiting class on 247Sports and hopes to keep it that way through the whole cycle. This week, the Yellow Jackets added their sixth commitment of the 2024 class with linebacker Tah'j Butler and moved up to 24th in the class rankings on 247Sports.

This next week could be busy for the Yellow Jackets. The second transfer portal window closes on April 30th and Georgia Tech could be trying to add more players to bolster its roster heading into the summer and fall.

Here is a recap of the past week in Georgia Tech recruiting:

1. One of the new offers from Georgia Tech went to USF transfer defensive end Eddie Kelly. Kelly had 19 tackles and one pass deflection for the Bulls last season.

2. Georgia Tech made the top eight for four-star defensive end Terrance Hibbler Jr. Ole Miss, Auburn, LSU, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi State, and Texas are the other schools that made the final eight for the talented defensive lineman.

3. Four-star defensive end Isaiah Gibson receives offer from Georgia Tech. Gibson is rated as the 236th-best player in the country on 247Sports and has offers from Florida, Florida State, and Oregon, among others.

4. 2024 Three-star defensive tackle Marcus Downs unofficially visits Georgia Tech. Downs also has offers from App State, Arkansas, Auburn, and Cincinnati, among others.

5. Georgia Tech offers Campbell transfer Myles Rowser. Rowser was a four-star safety in the class of 2024 and since entering the portal, he has received offers from Washington State, Colorado, Louisville, Purdue, West Virginia, and others.

6. 2025 Cornerback Lennis Finister Jr unofficially visited Georgia Tech this past week.

7. 2026 Athlete Shavar Young Jr received an offer from Georgia Tech. While a 2026 prospect, Young already has offers from Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, and Colorado, among others.

8. 2024 tight end Timothy Lawson received an offer from Georgia Tech. Lawson also has offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Duke, North Carolina, Louisville, Pitt, Purdue, and Texas A&M, among others.

9. 2025 safety JaDon Blair receives an offer from Georgia Tech after a visit. Blair also has offers from Maryland, Penn State, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest.

10. 2024 In-state offensive lineman Felix Doege received an offer from Georgia Tech and he has been on multiple visits to Georgia Tech already. Doege also has offers from App State, Georgia Souther, Houston, and Kentucky, among others.

11. 2026 Athlete Carson Sneed received an offer from Georgia Tech. Sneed already holds offers from Alabama, Michigan, Louisville, and Kentucky. among others.

13. 2024 offensive lineman Kahlil House received an offer from Georgia Tech. House also holds offers from App State, Cincinnati, Louisville, Missouri, Mississippi State, UCF, and USF, among others.

14. 2024 linebacker Tah'j Butler commits to Georgia Tech, becoming the sixth member of the class and the second linebacker.
