One of the top Quarterbacks in The 2025 Class Will Reportedly Visit Georgia Tech This Weekend
Georgia Tech is going to have a busy weekend in terms of recruiting and one of the top quarterbacks in the upcoming 2025 class is reportedly going to be on campus.
Tom Loy at 247Sports announced on social media that 2025 quarterback Antwann Hill Jr will be at Georgia Tech this weekend.
Hill Jr is a former Colorado commit, but he backed off of his pledge to Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes back in November.
Hill Jr, who plays at Houston County High School in Georgia, is a four-star prospect, ranked as the No. 67 prospect nationally, the No. 6 quarterback, and the No. 13 player in the state of Georgia. He was recently on a trip to Florida.
Our own Najeh Wilkins named Hill as one of Georgia Tech's top targets in the 2025 cycle.
Here is the scouting report from 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins:
"A big-armed quarterback that has a chance to emerge as a true field general on Saturdays with his tools. Has operated primarily out of a spread attack at the prep level and continued to progress as both a passer and decision-maker after first getting the starting nod as a freshman in one of the Peach State’s highest classifications. Looks the part from a physical standpoint with an imposing frame that’s pushing 6-foot-5, 215 pounds. Shouldn’t be classified as a true dual-threat talent, and hasn’t been featured on a ton of designed runs over the years, but is athletic enough to pick up chunks of yardage when he scrambles. Can generate a ton of velocity as he likes to establish a wide base and let it rip while snappy shoulders allow for a quicker release. Shows some touch on his deep shots, but needs to get more consistent with his ball placement, especially when looking to attack the short-to-intermediate parts of the field. Still far from a complete product, but took a major step forward as a junior, completing just under 70% of his passes with 23 touchdowns to go against just two interceptions through seven games. Also improved pocket movements. Likely will need some time to incubate and learn how to read college defenses, but natural talent could have him in the mix sooner rather than later at the college of his choice. Younger for his grade and could start classes as a 17-year-old should he enroll early. Sunday potential if everything comes together."
2022: "As a sophomore, led Houston County to a 10-3 record and the regional quarterfinals of Georgia’s AAAAAA playoffs. MaxPreps Sophomore All-American second-team selection. Completed 268 of 380 pass attempts (70.5%) for 3,663 yards with 40 TD and 3 INT. Set school single-season records for completion percentage and completions."
Georgia Tech does not have a commitment thus far in the 2025 class.
