Early Odds For 2023 NFL Defensive Rookie Of The Year Released
The 2023 NFL Draft is officially in the books and now the speculation for who the top rookies will be this season.
Georgia Tech's Keion White was picked 46th overall by the New England Patriots and the former Yellow Jacket is stepping into an advantageous situation. The Patriots are one of the better defenses in the NFL and Bill Belichick is still a tremendous defensive coach. White is one of the most versatile linemen that came out of the draft and he is going to be used in a variety of ways along the defensive line.
So could White win the defensive rookie of the Year in 2023?
Vegas has already released their odds for Defensive Rookie Of The Year and while White is not among the top favorites to bring home the award, he should not be considered a long shot.
Caesars Sportsbook currently has White at +4000 to win Rookie of the Year and DraftKings has him at +2500. Fanduel has White at +3300 to win Rookie of the Year.
The current favorites on Caesars are Will Anderson and Jalen Carter at +500 and they are followed by Tyree Wilson (+650), Devon Witherspoon (+1000), Christian Gonzalez (+1000), and Lukas Van Ness (+1000).
I think White has a chance to play right away for the Patriots and make an impact. It will be a tough race to be the top defensive rookie but don't count the former Yellow Jacket out of anything.
