One week after the 2023 ACC Media Days concluded in Charlotte, the preseason poll is now out and it looks like most think it will be a two-team race in the ACC this season.

Clemson and Florida State are expected to be the top two teams this year. With the amount of talent that Florida State is returning and what they did in the transfer portal, it could be the Seminole's year to win the ACC for the first time since 2014. sHowever, it was Clemson who earned the top spot and was picked to repeat as champion

The Tigers are still getting plenty of respect though and with the arrival of new offensive coordinator Garrett Riley, Clemson might win the ACC yet again, as well as challenge for a playoff spot.

What about Georgia Tech?

The Yellow Jackets are projected to finish toward the bottom of the conference yet again, being picked 12th. Georgia Tech is getting ready to embark on its first full season under Brent Key, who earned the job after guiding the Yellow Jackets to a 4-4 record after the 1-3 start under former head coach Geoff Collins. GT has undergone roster and coaching changes, but I think there is a strong chance they will outdo this projection.

Behind Clemson and Florida State was North Carolina, who will look to make it back to the conference championship game with Drake Maye as the starting quarterback. Maye is projected top pick in next year's draft and is a potential Heisman candidate and the Tar Heels will have one of the league's best offenses.

Miami is looking to bounce back from last year's disappointing 5-7 season and this poll reflects that. Like Georgia Tech, Miami has undergone plenty of roster and coaching changes in hopes of righting the ship after last season.

Louisville (Georgia Tech's first opponent) was picked to finish 8th Jeff Brohm's first season. Duke is another team that faces preseason expectations after winning nine games in Mike Elko's first season. The Blue Devils return quarterback Riley Leonard and open the season against Clemson on Labor Day.

Pitt and Wake Forest are next in the preseason poll and the bottom of the conference is projected to include Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Boston College and Virginia.

Here is the full predicted order of finish for the ACC in 2023:

1. Clemson

2. Florida State

3. North Carolina

4. NC State

5. Miami

T6. Duke

T6. Pitt
