Georgia Tech vs North Carolina game time Put on Six Day Hold by The ACC

Georgia Tech will host North Carolina next Saturday in Atlanta

Georgia Tech is getting ready for their matchup on Saturday against Boston College, but the game time for the big matchup against North Carolina was announced today.

Well, kind of.

The ACC has decided to use its six-day hold on the Georgia Tech vs North Carolina matchup and for almost every matchup in the conference next Saturday. The other ACC games that weekend include Duke vs Louisville, Miami vs Virginia, Clemson vs NC State, and Florida State vs Wake Forest.

Outside of Georgia Tech fans, most would not know that the Yellow Jackets have won two in a row and four of the last five against North Carolina. Georgia Tech also leads in the all-time series 32-21.

Last season, Georgia Tech held UNC to its season-low in points, in total yards, and Heisman-contending quarterback Drake Maye to his season-low in total passing yards, and the Yellow Jackets pulled a stunning upset as a three-touchdown underdog that was down their top two quarterbacks. Maye is once again one of the leading contenders for the Heisman and he is coming off a four-touchdown performance against Miami on Saturday.

This could end up being a crucial game in the ACC. If Georgia Tech beats Boston College, they will be 3-1 in ACC play, and assuming North Carolina handles Virginia, both of these teams will meet in Atlanta while at the top half of the ACC Standings.
