Kirk Herbstreit lists Georgia Tech among his most impressive teams in week six for win over Miami

Georgia Tech stunned Miami on Saturday night with a last-second win

Georgia Tech pulled off one of the most improbable victories in college football history on Saturday night when they scored with one second remaining on the clock after Miami decided to run the ball instead of kneeling the game out. It was a great job by Brent Key's team getting up for the game after losing against Bowling Green the week prior.

For the second time this year, Georgia Tech caught the attention of ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit, who listed the Yellow Jackets among his most impressive teams from week six. Herbstreit listed Georgia Tech 4th, behind only Oklahoma, Louisville, and Alabama.

Herbstreit did not stop there though. He also listed head coach Brent Key as one of the top-performing coaches of the week.

The final drive is what is going to be remembered, but the Yellow Jackets defense delivered an exceptional performance. With Kevin Sherrer in his first game as the defensive coordinator, Georgia Tech was able to confuse Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke and intercepted three of his passes. With the offense struggling for much of the game, the defense forced turnovers to set them up in great field position.

It was a great bounce-back performance for the defense and the team as a whole and now a bowl game is once again a possibility if they can handle business the rest of the way.

Georgia Tech is on their bye week and return to action next week at home against Boston College (12:00 p.m. ACC Network).
