Novak Djokovic might be the best tennis player in the world, but he has not been the story of Wimbledon this year. That distinction belongs to Georgia Tech's very own Chris Eubanks.

Eubanks is now in the round of 16 and will take on one of the best players in the world tomorrow. Eubanks will take on Stefanos Tsitsipas, who is currently the No. 5 player in the world.

After pulling off an upset of the No. 13 player Cameron Norrie, Eubanks scored another win against Christopher O'Connell in the third round to advance to the round of 16.

He might be ranked No. 43 in the ATP rankings, but Eubanks has a shot at his first major championship and to keep shocking the world.

If you have been paying attention to the former Yellow Jacket throughout his career though, this might not be that surprising.

In the tournament before Wimbledon, Eubanks won his first professional tournament by beating Adrian Mannarino in the Mallorca Championships. That gave way to his rising to a career-best No. 43 in the ATP rankings, but he is outplaying that ranking right now in his first-ever appearance on the biggest stage that Tennis has to offer.

Before he turned pro in 2017, he was a two-time All-American on The Flats and became the first Yellow Jacket and fifth conference player ever to earn ACC Player of the Year twice.

Became fifth student-athlete to be a three-time All-ACC honoree. He earned USTA/ITA Sportsmanship Award in 20116 and 2017 ITA Arthur Ashe, Jr. Leadership and Sportsmanship Award. He finished tied-fifth in all-time career wins (90) while finishing 10th in career win percentage (.732). Eubanks finished tied-second in season wins (34 – 2015-16) and tied-fourth in dual matches (21 – 2015-16) and he ranks third all-time at Georgia Tech with 21 doubles dual match victories in 2015-16 (Per ramblinwreck.com).

It has been a fun road for the Georgia Tech grad and here's hoping that he can keep it going in the round of 16 tomorrow.

Eubanks is set to square off against Tsitsipas on July 9th.
