Report: Georgia Tech outfielder Stephen Reid has entered the transfer portal
Georgia Tech Baseball received some bad news this evening.
Stephen Reid, one of the most dangerous hitters in the Yellow Jackets' lineup over the past couple of seasons, has decided to enter the transfer portal according to a report from D1Baseball.
While the 2023 season was a disappointment for Georgia Tech it was not due to Reid and the rest of the offense. He was responsible for 15 home runs and 53 RBIs last season while hitting .344.
The Yellow Jackets have been active in the transfer portal this offseason, but this is a significant loss. Reid was a reliable bat in the lineup and production like that is not easy to replace.
Reid was an All-ACC selection in 2022 and was a collegiate freshman All-American in 2020. He is eligible for the upcoming 2023 MLB Draft.
Keep an eye out for transfer portal news out of Atlanta.
