Texas State Football: Future Non-Conference Schedules Include Slew Of In-State Rivals
The Texas State football program appears to have some momentum following a successful 2023 season. The Bobcats will have plenty of opportunities to win over more fans in the state of Texas over the next decade.
Thursday afternoon, Texas State announced a look at their non-conference opponents for the 2025-2031 seasons. That included complete non-conference schedules for the 2025-2028 seasons. The Bobcats will play 11 games against in-state non-con foes before the end of the 2028 season.

2026 in particular will see see Texas State play a non-conference schedule of entirely in-state foes. That includes dates with Texas, North Texas, UTSA, and Incarnate Word.
Also notable, including their 2024 date with the Roadrunners, the Bobcats will play UTSA every year through the 2031 season. UTSA has won all five of the two schools' previous meetings where both programs were at the FBS level, including their 2023 game in San Antonio. The two schools are separated by less than a 90-minute drive.

Texas State have five games against Power Five teams through 2028. That includes two games against Arizona State, plus road games against Texas, Texas A&M, and Kansas State.
Texas State's 2024 spring game is scheduled for April 13. Their regular season kicks off on August 31 against in-state foe Lamar. The Bobcats will also face UTSA, Arizona State, and Sam Houston in their non-conference schedule this coming season.
