4-Star 2024 Guard Jaeden Mustaf Commits To Georgia Tech
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Jaeden Mustaf announced his commitment to Georgia Tech on Thursday.
He picked Georgia Tech and coach Damon Stoudamire over a top-six list that also included NC State, Maryland, Florida State, Indiana and Arkansas.
Mustaf is a 6-foot-4 combo guard in the class of 2024 who recently transferred to Overtime Elite, a professional basketball league created in 2021 and based in Atlanta, Ga. Prior to joining Overtime Elite, Mustaf attended Carmel Christian School in Matthews, N.C. and DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Md.
A consensus four-star recruit, Mustaf is ranked No. 39 in the nation by 247Sports, No. 48 by On3, No. 48 by Rivals and No. 58 in the ESPN Top 100.
While Indiana was not seen as a favorite to land Mustaf, his commitment to Georgia Tech still narrows Indiana's recruiting options in the class of 2024. This shouldn't be viewed as a major miss for coach Mike Woodson, who remains involved with several highly-ranked prospects.
Indiana recently hosted official visits for Montverde Academy teammates Liam McNeeley, Derik Queen and Curtis Givens III. McNeeley is widely considered the most likely of the three to ultimately pick Indiana, but his commitment could get the ball rolling for Indiana's 2024 recruiting class.
Indiana is also seen as a contender for Boogie Fland, as Woodson conducted an in-home visit with him on Tuesday and spot at Archbishop Stepinac High School's coaches clinic on Wednesday.
Other recruiting targets for Indiana in the class of 2024 include Annor Boateng, Tyler Betsey, Asa Newell and Patrick Ngongba II.
