Jalen Hood-Schifino continued to have success attacking the rim for the Los Angeles Lakers during the California Classic summer league in Sacramento, Calif. He had 20 points on Wednesday night in the Lakers' 109-99 loss to the San Antonio Spurs

Hood-Schifino, who was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year during his one season at Indiana, was the No. 17 overall pick by the Lakers last month. He was 8-for-17 shooting from the field, and added four assists and three rebounds. But he also had five turnovers and was 0-for-4 from three-point range.

Hood-Schifino has been impressive attacking the rim during these two games in Sacramento, and the Lakers are hoping that continues when they move on to the Las Vegas Summer League on Friday. Three-point shooting continues to be an issue for Hood-Schifino. He was 0-for-4 on Wednesday after missing all five threes in Monday's opener, where he scored 15 points in a loss to Miami.

At Indiana, he was a 33.3 percent shooter from three, going 37-for-111.

Max Christie, who played a year at Michigan State in the Big Ten, led the Lakers with 25 points and has looked good in the two games, hoping to break into the Los Angeles rotation next season.
