Game Primer: How to Watch, Things to Know for Kansas at Texas
The Kansas Jayhawks fell a little flat last week in their attempt to make their case against one of the worst teams in the country. A late start combined with some weird turnover luck led to a much-closer-than-expected win over Nevada. But Kansas has an opportunity to make a statement today in their conference opener against the BYU Cougars.
Kansas entered the polls this week for the first time this year at #24, while Texas has been ranked all season long and currently sit at #3 in the AP Poll and #5 in the Coaches Poll.
These two teams have never faced each other when they have both been ranked. Kansas is 0-6 all time against a ranked Texas team. There have been 21 total games in the series, with Kansas just 4-17, including a 1-9 record in Austin.
