The Kansas Jayhawks have achieved one of the main goals for the season, securing bowl eligibility last week. But now they are looking for another achievement: multiple conference road wins in the same season for the first time since the 2007 season. And the opponent for this game is a Texas Tech Red Raiders squad that started 3-1 to start entertaining bowl game thoughts of their own.

Kansas is receiving votes in both polls, but they have been ranked as high as #19. Texas Tech is unranked.

Texas Tech leads the all-time series 21-2, including a 10-1 record in Lubbock. The only win for the Jayhawks on the road came on October 6th, 2001 in a 34-31 overtime win
