WATCH: Carrington Valentine picks off a pass in his first NFL game
Former Kentucky defensive back Carrington Valentine picked off a pass in his first NFL Preseason game.
The Green Bay Packers were on the road playing the Cincinnati Bengals, and in his hometown, Valentine picked off a pass from Jake Browning to give the Packers the football.
Green Bay went on to win this football game in blowout fashion beating the Burrowless Bengals 36-19.
The word out of Green Bay is that Valentine has been turning heads so far in camp and, of course, in the first preseason game.
He has a real shot at winning a starting corner job with the Packers in his rookie season.
Going from a seventh-round pick to a starter would be amazing, and Valentine has a shot at making this a reality.
Valentine picked off quarterback Jordan Love at Monday's Packers practice and took it to the house for a pick-six.
The hype around the former Kentucky Wildcat is building on a day-to-day basis, and he looks to be one of the biggest steals in the 2023 NFL Draft.
The Green Bay Packers open their season on September 10th at 4:25 et against the Chicago Bears. This game will be on Fox so Kentucky fans can watch Valentine make his NFL debut on a national network.
Let's take a look at Valentine's interception, where he grabbed the tipped pass and was able to secure it for a pick.
