WATCH: Antonio Reeves throws it off the glass and Justin Edwards slams it home
The Cats are out to an early lead over Kentucky State 23-9 at the 12-minute mark.
Justin Edwards has been the star of the show, already scoring in double figures, and he has helped bring down some rebounds.
The highlight of the game to this point comes to us via Antonio Reeves and Edwards.
The Cats had a run-out opportunity, and Reeves took the ball down the court, then threw it off the backboard, and Edwards slammed it home.
This isn't a play Coach Calipari would want to see during the regular season, but it sure did get the crowd going here in Rupp Arena.
Edwards has done exactly what Kentucky fans want in this ball game, and that is take the ball to the rim.
If Edwards does this the whole season, he will live up to the hype and be a top-five pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Let's take a look at this play from Reeves and Edwards that might have these two on Sports Center.
