Kentucky guard Adou Thiero will miss the matchup with Illinois State with "general soreness"

General soreness will keep Adou Thiero out against Illinois State.

We are less than an hour away from tipoff between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Illinois State Redbirds.

A little over an hour prior to game time, Kentucky announced they would be without Adou Thiero in this ball game due to "general soreness."

Thiero has been a do-it-all player for the Cats this season, as he has helped clean up the glass and score around the rim off offensive rebounds.

Not having Thiero in this ball game scares me a little bit since he is the type of player who can really help calm the Cats down if the Redbirds get out to a hot start. This Illinois State team has a good record, but if Kentucky plays well, they should win this game by a lot of points.

Not having Thiero might not hurt the Cats in this ball game, but when it comes to Kentucky's SEC opener in Gainesville against the Florida Gators, the Cats will need him on the floor. This is the type of game that Thiero would be a big help in as Florida will likely come out hot, wanting to beat Kentucky, who is considered the top dog in the SEC.
