Kentucky basketball has won seven of its last ten games against Florida in Gainesville

Kentucky has played well against the Florida Gators on the road recently.

The Kentucky Wildcats have a big game coming up against the Florida Gators in Gainesville, which will be a tough way for the Cats to start SEC play.

The Gators are 10-3, with their only losses coming to Baylor, Virginia, and a road loss to Wake Forest. They have wins over Florida State, Pitt, and Michigan, so this Florida team has taken down some Power-Six teams.

The Gators are 6-0 on the season at home. ESPN's matchup predictor is giving Florida a 61.6% chance to beat the Wildcats.

Obviously home court advantage is a real thing and will be on the side of the Gators. The stands will be full as Florida fans will want to beat #6 Kentucky.

But if you look at recent history, the Cats have been successful playing the Gators on the road.

Kentucky is 7-3 in their last ten games in the O'Connell Center and 5-0 in their last five games.

Kentucky's last loss against Florida on the road was March 3rd, 2018 when the Gators took down the Cats 80-67. The Cat's leading scorer in this game was Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who had 17.

It will be interesting to see how Kentucky responds to the true road environment, but the Cats have played on the big stage a few times this season, and the moment was never too big.

If Kentucky can take the winning streak in Gainesville to six games, it would give the Cats a much needed Quad 1 win.
