Two stock risers from Kentucky's win over the Illinois State Redbirds

These two Kentucky Wildcats played well against Illinois State.

The Kentucky Wildcats took on Antonio Reeves's old team in Rupp Arena on Friday night in front of a sold-out crowd and won 96-70.

The Cats had another offensive explosion in this game, leading to the blowout victory.

Let's take a look at two Cats who played well in the win over the Illinois State Redbirds.

DJ Wagner

DJ Wagner only scored 14 points in this game, but he was efficient, going 6-10 from the field and 2-3 from deep. Wagner did a great job getting to the rim, and if he can start making some shots from deep, it will be a big help for this team. Wagner continues to find his rhythm, and the more he heats up, the better this Kentucky team will be in SEC play and in March.

Antonio Reeves

Against his old team, Antonio Reeves put up an avalanche of points, scoring 27 while going 10-15 from the field to 4-8 from deep. Reeves has been incredible for the Cats this season and is one of the top scorers in college basketball. The Cats have a big game coming up as they will face Florida on January 6th on the road to start SEC play, and Reeves will need to show up in this game.
