Two stock risers from Kentucky's win over the Louisville Cardinals
The Cats moved to 9-2 on the season with a big win over their biggest rival, the Louisville Cardinals, in the KFC Yum! Center.
The Cats continue to score at a high level as they put up 95 points in the win over Kenny Payne's Cardinals.
Now the team gets a few days off for the holidays coming off a big win before they prepare to take on the Illinois State Redbirds on the 29th.
Let's take a look at two Cats who played well in the win over the Louisville Cardinals.
Antonio Reeves
Antonio Reeves went off for the Cats in this ball game, scoring 30 points on 10-16 from the field and 4-5 from deep. He also had a rebound and two assists in the Cats road win. Reeves was efficient from deep and did a good job getting to the rim and scoring. This season, Reeves hasn't been living and dying by the three. He has gotten to the rim a lot and made a bunch of floaters. If Reeves plays like this during SEC play, the Cats will bring home another SEC title.
Tre Mitchell
Tre Mitchell also played well against Louisville, scoring 18 points while going 7-13 from the field and 4-7 from deep. Mitchell shoots the ball well from the top of the key. It seems like he never misses threes from up there. It would be interesting to see a three-point percentage comparison for when he shoots from the corner to the key. Mitchell had a double-double in this game, as he also brought in 12 rebounds to go with his 18 points. When Kentucky's big men are spraying threes, no one is going to beat this team.
