Notre Dame RB Commit Daniel Anderson Previews Junior Day Return
On January 20th, 2025 Notre Dame commits and key targets are heading back to Notre Dame for Junior Day. Among the long list of commits heading back to campus, this will be Bryant (Ark.) High School running back Daniel Anderson will be making his first visit since committing to the program in September prior to the Ohio State game.
It is a highly anticipated return. Anderson is excited to get to enjoy everything again, and be around the Irish program once again, especially after seeing Notre Dame play down the stretch.
"I am super excited, especially with how we ended the season,” Anderson told Irish Breakdown. "The end of the season run and the domination in the bowl game had me pumped about my future with Notre Dame. There is no doubt I made the right decision for me and my future.”
For this weekend, there is going to be a lot of bonding time. There will also be a chance for the Irish commits to take in various events. Regardless, Anderson is looking forward to experiencing it all.
"It's going to be really cool to go to a hockey game and be around all the commits again in a different atmosphere,” he said. "I’m happy to be able to experience everything.”
Over the last few months, Anderson has been building great relationships with the other commits in the class. That group is close, and have been really getting one another excited for the next level.
"The energy the other commits bring is contagious,” Anderson explained. "These guys are definitely going to be like having family with me being so far away from home and the same with the coaches. Our relationships have slowly but surely been developing really well.”
This weekend will also be a big weekend for Anderson to help recruit some other key targets on campus. That’s a job he is also relishing, wanted to help build a tremendous 2025 recruiting class.
"My role is extremely important because they need to see as many early commits come back and show we are serious about our commitment,” Anderson stated. "I want them to see the camaraderie that's being established at Notre Dame.”
The 5-11, 190-pound runner is considered a four-star recruit on the Rivals ranking. They rank him as the No. 205 overall player and No. 16 running back in the 2025 recruiting class. The Arkansas native chose the Irish over Tennessee, Mississippi State and Colorado among others.
